Happy New Year!
Hope you’ve had a fabulous festive break and made some treasured memories with your family and friends.
And I bet that now you’re raring to go with some big new career plans to make 2019 your best year ever!
But you don’t have to re-invent the wheel. New Year’s resolutions don’t have to mean starting from scratch. They can also be about reviewing, adjusting, appreciating and re-invigorating.
Maybe you’re already doing some awesome things which you want to keep going? Maybe you’ve made a start on something, and it just needs a little bit of a tweak to bring you better results?
So before you set out a completely brand new set of career goals or resolutions, ask yourself the following questions:
What well in your career in 2018? What did you love doing? What will you continue in 2019?
What wasn’t such a success? What do you want to stop in 2019?
How do you want to feel in a year’s time?
What was your intention for 2018? Did you have an overall career goal? Maybe a phrase or word? Did it help you?
What is your intention for 2019? If you could sum it up in a word or phrase, what would it be?
With these questions, you can leverage the momentum you already have and just keep building, growing and moving towards your dream career goals, but with much greater focus and clarity.
Feel free to let me know in the comments what your word or phrase for 2019 is, I'd love to hear. And looking forward to an amazing year with you!
