Hey everyone,
Thanks for bearing with me these last few weeks, as I had to take a break due to a loss in the family.
It’s still pretty recent and hard to talk about, but in time I think I will write about it on this blog. I feel that a big part of running a purpose driven business is to be of service to others, and work towards something that is bigger than yourself. So if anyone else can read my story and feel supported by hearing it, then the decision to be open will have been the right one.
For now, I’m learning that you can’t always push on at full speed. Sometimes you have to slow down and surrender to what is going on in your life. As John Lennon famously said, “life is what happens to you, when you’re busy making other plans”.
All those self care tools that I coach others on, are now coming into their own:
- Patience
- Self-compassion
- Gratitude
- Seeking support
It’s not easy, and there’s a long road ahead, but they are helping bit by bit.
I’ll be adjusting my work schedule for a while and offering a reduced number of 1:1 spots (not because I don’t LOVE working 1:1 with my clients, it’s just an energy thing and wanting to be able to give my best). I’ll also be developing a new self-study programme, which might be perfect for those of you who are strapped for time (and let’s face it who isn’t?!).
In the meantime, if you’re going through a tough time, give yourself a hug. Or better still, ask for one from the nearest cuddly person/animal. If you know someone having a tough time, offer up that hug. Or at least a cup of tea and a sympathetic ear...
Speak soon,
xx Juliette
